Why so serious?

"And it shall come to pass...that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids... will I pour out my spirit."
~Joel 2 : 28-29

Yes, the time hath come.
I shall reveal the history behind:
"Good wine need people who know how to taste wine in order to appreciated it. the same goes to people who know how to appreciate beauty.. "

This all came about when the office officially rolled out the new uniform for the ladies in administration.
Pink top with grey blazer and skirt.
Its a rather big change from the previous black dress.
On me, its a literal little black dress with the wrong things being emphasised. =.=lll
The new uniform is closer to something out of U2.
Air stewardess maybe...
Panasonic airways anyone?
Getting to the point... a colleague of mine commented that I look very different in the uniform.
He even went as far to say that I look very 'chio'.
My disbelief you can totally imagine, coz no one from the opposite sex has ever said that I am pretty - no I am not bluffing. (Closest to come to that would be Ivan... in jc...)
To my "don bluff lah..."
My colleague said the above statement.
That is something really worth remembering.
Thanks Bernard, you made my day~ =]

My colleague has finally come back from maternity leave.
Hehe... glad she's back, now the office is less 'empty'.

I've missed out on Cell group and TKD for almost a month... then again, it could be more than a month... gwad... Gotta make sure I get back soon.
Body and Spirit need edification.
-whacks head against wall-
Church services have also been not seen for a while.
EOGM aside, spending time with TKM at PLMC was a vastly better idea in comparison to making the trip all the way to Geylang East.
By the way, the EOGM lasted to 5.45pm yesterday.
-faints-

Oh, how shopping I would love to do.
Retail therapy... something I finally understand.
The hard part comes when the loot gets brought home, and the old clothes or whatever else has to be thrown out in order to make room for the new items.
Sentimental me vs 'You bought it! better make room for it' me.
-hysterical laughter-

Friday night was spent at Bugis with Krystal.
Ate/Drank at Soup Spoon.
Gooooooood~~~
I walked from Boon Keng to Bugis.
Nice little accomplishment on a Friday evening aye?
We yakked, walked and window shopped.
Have to make sure we use al the coupons before the end of the month ah!~~

Gonna get my hands on the IRONMAN DVD.
Once the price falls.... am aiming the more expensive set, but the current pricing is abt 40 plus.
A copy shall become mine once it hits the 30-ish mark.
-psychotic laughter-
While we're at this... I wanna get my hands, and ears, on the new Jay Chou album!
Anyone got lobang?
Also want a new computer, high heels, the Twilight 4-logy and a new phone.
Very seldom does one hear me saying that I need a new phone... but this time, my nokia is getting me a tad of the edge with the gallery problem... to th service centre!!!!
-ROARS-

Went out for dinner with Shoon on Wednesday night.
Sakae sushi.
Hehoo~
A treat from my dear friend.
Thanks =]
Talked, ate, walked, yakked.
Next one at Botak Jones?
Choco Fondo!!!

In the past week, I have been to the airport twice.
Both times to study with Krystal.
sub-objective to send my guys off and 'huan-ying' them.
First visit was a success.
Second visit was a success in a different manner.
Sometimes, when you plan too much and everything goes out the window, you have no choice but to trust God.
Life is full of mysteries.
Give in to it, embrace it.
It's what makes life beautiful.
Last night, ended up having dinner with Krystal, around 9pm plus.
At Sakae sushi.
(anyone sense a trend forming?)
Thank you and big, hug, giant hugs to Krystal for the treat. =]
I love the airport, maybe I should spend more time there...
-ponders-
Most likely to get a knock on the head from my daddy for wanting to do that though.
Hahahhaha~

Company had bowling tourney at the beginning of the month.
I am a professional drain cleaner.
I do drain cleaning at bowling alleys as part of community service and volunteering work.
-hysterical laughter-
Arm and thumb got swollen after all that ball throwing.
Managed only 1 spare and 2 strikes after 4 games.
Can imagine my elation of getting a strike... jumping into the air with glee.
It was nice to finally be given high 5s for whacking down all 10 pins.
-continues laughing-
I even got me a new super hero in the process.
Haha...
Now to prepare for the BIG bowling tourney at the end of November.
*dum-da-dum-dum*

Work is work.
Stress is stress.
I've lost about 3 kilos.
Wahahahaha...

First time I took private MC was last Tuesday.
Was so 'out' of it that I couldn't get out of bed.
Rest is really what the body needs.
Hopefully I can get it today as well.

Happy Deepavali to one and all!
=]

Here's the top events lined up for this week:
Ave Q
Outings
Tree planting
WWS patrol (maybe)
Pirates 3-logy (I've been watching it over and over again Parv!)

Krystal,
JIA YOU!!!
-waves pompoms and throws confetti in striking similarity to the opening of the Beijing Olympics-
You can do it one!
Chiong!!!!
WO YONG YUAN ZHI CHI NI!!!

Parveen!
AVE Q IS WAITING FOR US!!!!
-does the dance of joy-

Yang Mui,
Where you wanna go for 1 Nov?
Am still waiting for Shi Min to get back to me.
Diana is ok for that date...
Perhaps we have tea?
Something different from the norm...heho~

Yingying,
Jia you at work girlfriend!
We will make it one!

Aight, I would type more, but there are some other things calling me..
Blessing to all~
-hugs-

Wow

Psalm 23 (For the Work Place)

The Lord is my real boss, and I shall not want.He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me. He gently reminds me to pray and do all things without murmuring and complaining.
He reminds me that He is my source and not my job.He restores my sanity everyday and guides my decisions that I might honor Him in all that I do
Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mails, system crashes, unrealistic deadlines, budget cutbacks, gossiping co -workers, discriminating supervisors and an aging body that doesn't cooperate every morning, I still will not stop--- for He is with me! His presence, His peace, and His power will see me through.
He raises me up, even when they fail to promote me.He claims me as His own, even when the company threatens to let me go. His Faithfulness and love is better than any bonus cheque
His retirement plan beats any 401k there is!When it's all said and done, I'll be working for Him a whole lot longer and for that I BLESS HIS NAME!!!!!!

From a conversation with my colleague:

"Good wine need people who know how to taste wine in order to appreciated it. the same goes to people who know how to appreciate beauty.. "

I shall speak more about the above the next time...

Blessings to all you who read this.

-hugs-

Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble"
~Psalm 46:1~

Wow, what a weekend.
I don't say that very often, but yeah, WOW.

Saturday started out with tuition and then proceeded to a very PINK event.
Tuition was rather interesting, coz I under estimated my students ability to grasp a certain topic and in the end, we did a lot of other ad hoc activities which I hope they managed to understand.
Have a feeling, that some of the stuff I thought that might have been over their heads.
Oppz.
Neh, they will learn the same thing in the future.
Haha...

Came home with a packet of noodles for lunch and then attempted to take a nap.
Was not successful on the nap side.
Rushed out of the house to meet Krystal for the Pink Ribbon walk.
Before I begin to describe that event, here are some quotes:
"Mummy... got people jogging - they cheating!!!"
"Pink ribbon walk... pink ribbon WALK!"

Both us gals thought that we were going to be late for the event.
Rushed from our respective homes to the meeting point.
Ended up having to wait an hour before the walking really began.
Plenty of pink all over the place.
The more sporting ones going a step further.
Perfect example would be the group with the pink wigs... cool xia~
It was cool to see people of all ages coming together to recognise a common goal.
The cause is close to home for me.
No, I do know that there are others who share the same sentiments about breast cancer.
This disease can and will be fought.
We shall not go quietly into the night~!
-ROAR!!-

To kill time while waiting for the flag off, Krystal and I walked around the area, water water every where... *please complete the line*
Finally, we were flagged off by the guest of honour - Dr Vivian.
We started out at the middle of the pack.
Slow walking is not our strong suit.
Weaved here and there, power walked and skipped a few steps... more descriptions can be used to describe how we criss-crossed our way within the crowd.
Out of no where, we made our way to the front.
Haha...
For your information, the jogging people were not us... the second quote was directed at us though... Correct Krystal?
-hysterical laughter-
We finished the entire route with plenty of time to spare.
Flag off was at 5.30pm odd.
We reached the end point at 6.05pm.
Now all I have to do is find out the exact distance which we covered.
Haha...

Free food awaited us at the finish line.
Milo, chikus, ice cream, water, buns.
Heeho~
We sat down at one of the benches, continued to take pictures and did plenty of people watching.

Having cooled down, and not decided where to go for dinner...
a number was chosen and we ended up at the Esplanade...
flurry of lights and smoke, losing my towel and finding it once more, more photos... waiting for the queue to shorten...
We changed our minds and went to Suntec for dinner instead.
Hahaha...
Walked some more in an effort to get away from the crowds.
Ended up at Bakerz Inn.
Food wasn't too shabby.
Don't mind going there in the future to have grub. =]

Mouths did a lot of exercise.
Chewing and yakking away.
-more hysterical laughter-
Walked off the full tummy in Suntec.
FINALLY GOT MY WALL-E PLUSH!!!!!
-does the dance of joy-
Least I forget, me now have a spiffy new Speed Mouse pad as well as an Ironman Magnet...
-migumi laughter-
Taking the shops closing as a sign, we made for the MRT station.
Gosh, I have not been to Suntec for the longest time lor~
The whole area has changed so much, we almost got lost...
O.olll

Krystal reached home before me.
Thank God she decided to give me a call, kept me awake long enough to get home.
Knocked out at around 1, after the long wait for the hair to dry.

Sunday service was a blessed occasion.
Learnt this song.

Hosanna - Hillsongs United

Verse 1
I see the king of glory
Coming down the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing

Chorus
Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

Verse 2
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a new revival
Staring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees

Bridge
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what is yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Chrous

Yes, I know that I am a very lagging person when it comes to Hillsong music.
Don't have to remind me.
I guess I am very much old school when it comes to singing Christian songs...
hahaha~
I shall lead my ministry in this song soon.
It has blessed me.
I know it will bless them as well.
Amen!

So that was my weekend.
As for the rest of my week...
Krystal came over on Wednesday to study.
Thursday and Friday were rather ok in the office.
Was supposed to go out for dinner with some colleagues on Friday night, but it got postponed cos of a hospital emergency.
Praying for the parent to be well soon.
In the end Krystal came over again to study on Friday night.
More literature, more general paper - by Jove, it is(was) beautiful!
-dodges the flying slipper-

A few things cropped up on Friday night.
Tomorrow's the time to have them cleared.
There will be changes made next week.
God shall prevail.
In the end everything will be alright.
If its not alright, its not the end.
Amen!
-ROAAR!-

Krystal~
We've got to use the vouchers before the end of the month!
CHIONG AH~!!!

Yang mui~
We go Causeway point for dinner one day want?
-big large silly smile-

Parveen,
Sugar babe! Ave Q in less them 25 days!!!!
-does the dance of joy again-

Gah, Wake Boarding competition is next Weekend... I wants to go and do boat duty!!!
-pouts-
A day on the water would be the best kind of rest...
Sit back and people watch.
Hang out and chill.
Let the waves drift by.
Engine roar to life and create wakes.
Soak in the sun, have lots of fun.
Haha...
Another time I suppose.
Have fun Marilyn~

Oh, Grading was last Sunday.
Another rush-rush-RUSH day.
Went from Kovan to Boon Keng to Toa Payoh.
Morning went well, so did the afternoon.
By God's grace, I managed to cram all 5 high dan poomsae into my head before the test.
My test went well.
Rather proud of myself.
Even before the results were announced on Saturday.
Hehe...
I am now qualified for Level 2 in Poomsae Coaching.
*HUUUUUU~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
All praise to God for His blessings!

After my long awaited nap this afternoon, the body feels a bit better.
At least I won't feel like a rag doll in the office tomorrow.
Hahah...
Keep praying, keep praising, keep living for Christ.
Hosanna~

F1 + Kimi + PH + Study + PRW + TKD + etc = Normal day

"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."
~ 1 Peter 5:7

Biggest highlight on the Singapore calendar for September: First night race on the F1 schedule.
Dark horse won the race which he was sure he would not win.
First time for me to be watching the race.
Never was a fan, but now... still not really a fan.
Though I tip my hat off to the teams.
Such effort in the timing of pit stops and driving methods.
The team work is fantastic.
Was cheering for Kimi, but oh well~
Maybe next race?

The excitment about the race went all the way to the office.
Very nice to have a common topic to talk about for the entire day.
I think everyone was rather keen on chatting about what will happen next year... haha

It's a public holiday today!
Selemat Hari Raya to all my muslim friends!
May your gatherings be full of laughter and more joy.

The blue moon hath arrive.
I get to see sunshine at my housing estate.
Can't remember the last time I was able to smell the house in the day time.
Welcome rest, time in the house and with the family.
Like a mini/half weekend.
Another 2 days and the week will be over~~
-bounces all over the house-

Anyone wanna buy me a Wall-E / Eve plush?
-hysterical laughter-

Went for poomsae course 2 Sundays ago.
5 high dan patterns in 3 hours.
Not enough ram to store all the information.
Spent last week trying to memorise the movements.
Had the test on Sunday, right after supplimentary grading at Kovan.
Mr Lim says that the whole lot would have failed had we gone for the gradings for high dan.
erm...
But it remains to be seen, how well the group really did at the end of the day.

The cool thing is that I managed to get 4 out of the 5 poomsaes memorised.
Don talk about how well I can do them.
My main response to that question is that I am merely a first dan.
Ask me to go for a third dan grading?
-faints dead away-
Good experience nontheless.
Just waiting for the real results to come out.
Hahaha~

Krystal's coming over to my place to study today~
ECONOMICS SHALL BE KILLED OFF!!!
-evil laughter-

I've got a blue black on my hand....donno from where did I get it... Hmmm...

Had dinner with Jamie last Friday.
Food food food, at the Jurong Point Japanese food market thingy.
Ramen.
Maybe we go there again another time?

Pink Ribbon walk's this Saturday!
Me ish going with Krystal!
So exciting.
The day itself will be another mad rush for me.
Seng Kang to Pasir Ris to Town for the walk.
Wow... so happening.

Xiao Ping commented that I am a very busy person.
My response was: I was busy before joining the company, now I am a bit more 'tame'

Had to work overtime last night.
A last minute decision.
Thank God for Bee Im.
She gave me a lift home.
Bless her kind heart!
Good thing the E-flash got put up in time.
Yesterday was really packed with stuff.
Go doctor, office, whack work, whack more work, dio OT.
Thank God for today. =]

OK, time to make for the schedule of today.
Praises to the Lord for all!

^-^
